Everyone may has his/her own way of arrange photos. Sometimes, their habits of dealing with photos implied the meaning of their photography.
When I took photos with my dad back in home, the whole procedure was pretty simple: choosing right place, adjusting the aperture, shutter, and exposure value, pressing the button, and then importing into the computer. My dad always thinks the biggest fun of photography is the process of taking pictures. He usually came home with hundreds of new born photos and edited them one by one with PhotoShop. I used to beg him to print them out, but the only answer I have ever got was “It is enough to enjoy them on the screen.” “What is the whole point of taking photos? dad!” my roaring was always the ending of this kind of conversation. I want photos to be shown up in front of people by printing them out in the dark room, and I want to put them all over my home. As my point of view, being remembered is a big part of reason of the existence of photos. Some professional photographers may pursue the high level skill and expensive techniques, but as for me—an amateur fan of photography, the value of emotional expression is much more important then that of qualities. I like the moment others look at my photos and tell me their thoughts.
Friends are definitely the main protagonists in the photos taken by a boarding student like me. I study with them and live with them. Whenever I want to take a photos they would alway be there for me. You know what is the hardest part? After I stored the photos in my camera, I was always too lazy to give them to my friends who asked me over and over again. It is not because I do not want to give them; it is because importing, editing and sending are tedious and time-consuming. But guess what? On the other hand, I was also delighted to hear their comments and opinions. Miranda has been asking for the photos of the prom for nearly two weeks, but I always forgot right after checking her messages. Yesterday, I finally squeezed ten minutes to work on her photos. She was ecstatic to see my email, and she even used a series of smiling faces and exclamation marks to reply me! Miranda told me she liked how I caught people’s moods in the photos and the colour I adjusted. However, she thought, it would be better to leave a more empty background in order to emphasis the focus. See, friends can always give you many useful advises. Their feelings and opinions remind me of the invisible improving spaces, and their happiness after seeing my photos will always be supportive on my road of photography!
Photos are like those interesting stores of memories that help us save the most valuable moments. Those stores not only provide me a place to miss my old times, but also built some special bridges between me and those people in my life. Most of time, doing things does not need any magnificent motivations; all you need may just be a single reason, negligible but meaningful.
